In my work I want to try and improve the chemical processes we use to make important molecules, such as drugs. So we set out to try and see if we could make a certain set of chemicals, called amines, using a new method that had never been done before.

The questions my PhD thesis is asking is: “Can you make drugs for a poorly understood enzyme called PRK2?” and “Does using these drugs help us understand PRK2’s role in cancer?”. The answer to that first question is currently yes!
