• Question: Is every drug dangerous?

      I suppose you could say that everything at a certain concentration is dangerous. An important process that scientists undertake with new drugs, is to test safety. This involves testing different dosages to figure out the perfect dosage to achieve its affect without being unsafe.

      If used in the wrong way then a lot of drugs can have an negative effect on the body. Even paracetamol can be dangerous if you take too much of it! But that is why we do so much work on the safety of drugs before they are given to people! It takes so many years in development before any member for the public will be allowed to take a drug to treat a disease, that by the time they do take it the way they are given it, and the amount they need for it to be safe will have worked out and triple checked by scientists multiple times!
