We use computational techniques to narrow down on the experiments ; so basically instead of doing 10,000 experiments, we can limit it to a few hundreds or tens of them. This is possible because the computational techniques we use help us in identifying drug targets based on their mode of action, possible side-effects etc thus also making drugs safer.
