      Definitely not – in fact when I was 17 I did a placement using the Matlab software, and I absolutely hated it.

      It wasn’t until the second year of university, where I did a placement developing quantum mechanics calculation, that I started finding a language I enjoyed using and an interesting project.

      I was never very good at my experimental practicals though, so moving into computational chemistry was fairly natural.
