I have yes! Not the very specific parts of science like I work with now, but just trying to have a general understanding of why things happen and how things work. At school I followed this curiosity by asking teachers about their backgrounds, as in secondary school most of your science teachers will have done some kind of science degree. This was interesting to me as it gave me a really broad idea about the different things that you could study when you go to University.

I was taken to science museums and enjoyed learning about space in primary school but it was at the start of high school that I became interested in chemistry and how the world works at a molecular level.

My parents encouraged me to pursue lots of different things which has helped me become a jack of all trades so I have hobbies to do outside of the lab etc.
