Money can solve certain problems. For example, because my lab has quite a lot of money at the moment I don’t need to worry about how I’m going to pay for my chemicals, but we can’t simply “buy” a cure for cancer. There have been studies that show that above a salary of £70,000 or so, a person’s happiness doesn’t improve. Money can sometimes make things faster or easier but it ultimately can’t be the solution for every problem in the world. Some of the richest people in the world have caused huge problems in the world by not paying their taxes properly which prevents the funding of services like the NHS etc.
