• Question: do you like talking with children face to face or talking on a screen

      I don’t mind doing either! Online can be better for people who are nervous about speaking up in public, so empowers someone to ask a question of scientists, but sometimes it can be easier to explain things face to face! What do you prefer?

      I think I prefer face to face because I can’t see your reaction to my answers unless you reply! But I agree with Sebastian, it allows me to chat to people who prefer screen contact.

      Both is great – I like helping young students with career questions and science questions and telling them about the research and work I do.

    I feel like you get more of an unscripted ‘chat’ with face to face but talking on a computer is great for if you are in anothe country or something. Personally I prefer face to face but I don’t mind either
