Rich in spirit! Working in science is one of the most emotionally rewarding jobs you can do (in my opinion). You know that what you are doing will help people, and help solve the biggest problems that society faces. This is enough reward to carry on doing your job!

Not financially but you can’t put a price on the feeling of knowing no one else has worked on your project before and that you are part of a big picture of helping to beat cancer. Once I have a PhD I should earn at least twice as much money as I am at the moment but I don’t need much money to be happy. There’s more to life than money.
