• Question: Which universities are number one for, science, maths, medicine and engineering?

      Which university you go to is more than just the course really! You have to think that wherever you choose to go, you will live there for at least 3 years, probably more if you do science, engineering or medicine! A good thing to look at is the good university guides for the subjects you are interested in:

      You can look at this and get an idea of where a university ranks for different courses! Although the best way to decide which university you like the most is to actually visit! Check out when the open days are and go see them!

      Agreed with Sebastian that you can refer to the university league tables. However, I would advise to pick a university that works for you. I wanted to work in a more relaxed environment for my undergraduate and I wanted to move away from home. I visited universities and realised I wanted a university where the campus was in town and I wanted to feel that the lecturers were friendly, open and approachable, as I work best when I can work with lecturers and seek their advice.
