      In my desk drawer at work I always keep a box of Ibuprofen! General purpose painkillers are incredibly useful!

      Also, general purpose antibiotics are incredibly important in treating infection, particularly in the developing world.

    Lipitor continues to be one of the biggest selling drugs each year for treating high cholesterol. A quick look at the top-selling drugs shows a lot are involved in processes of aging like rheumatoid arthritis, which makes sense as the world’s population lives longer. Any drug that cures a disease is a useful drug though.
