I turned 26 earlier this year. It is pretty common to be about my age when completing your PhD. This is because you often have your undergraduate (first) degree from the ages of 18-22, and then your PhD takes between 3-5 years afterwards.

29 years young! It took me 9 years of University (Manchester then Leeds) to get my undergraduate and postgraduate degrees! And now I work at Manchester University doing research – my friends all tell me I need to get a real job!

I turn 26 on Wednesday! I started my 5 year MChem degree in 2011 and my 3.5 year PhD in 2017.

I am 29. I started my undergraduate degree with placement year when I was 19, after a gap year. I started my masters degree when I was 23 and my PhD when I was 24.
