Directly I wouldn’t be able to say! I work at a very early stage in drug disovery, by trying to come up with new ways to actually make chemical bonds. This usually doesn’t involve making specific drugs, but trying to improve the way that we think about making them. My research contributes to reducing the time, effort and money spent on making important chemicals such as drugs, so you could say that it is helping people by reducing the cost of medicine!

Similar to Sebastian, I haven’t directly cured anyone because my drugs are in the very early stages of development.

I have personally been cured of thyroid cancer though with some surgery and radioactive iodine therapy.

I haven’t specifically cured anyone, as in research you’re working on the first step of the discovery and development pipeline.
